Where in the world is Sayre, Alabama??? You might be surprised to know that this small place is in Jefferson county, only 25 miles northwest of downtown Birmingham.

Sayre is just east of U.S. 78, before the Walker county line. If you have ever been to the Green Top Barbeque, you have been very close to Sayre!

Here are exact directions to Middle Oak Church:

Take U.S. 78 out of Birmingham in the direction of Jasper. You will go through Forestdale, Adamsville, and Graysville.

About seven miles northwest of Graysville, before you reach the Walker county line, turn right onto Sayre-Littleton road. You will have to watch for this pretty carefully. If you get to the Green Top BBQ, you have come too far!

Follow Sayre-Littleton road to a "T" intersection (only a short distance), and turn left onto the Old Jasper Highway. Then, take the first right onto Levine Avenue. Follow Levine Avenue, past First Baptist Church of Sayre, and you will come to the Middle Oak Construction site on the right only 1/4 mile past FBC of Sayre.
